New Option Sales: Rolled TSLL, Sold Puts on RKT and SOFI
Today we rolled a covered call on TSLL from $16 to $17 for a credit. This keeps it out of the money and increases the potential return, if the shares get called away. We had to add two weeks to the expiration date in order to make this move for a credit. Since we had some cash in the account from RIOT calls that were called away on Friday, we also decided to sell a few puts. The first two were for RKT with a strike price of $14. The second one was for SOFI with a strike of $15.50. Both puts have an expiration of 31 days. The ROI for these is around 4% for one month of time. I did something different today and placed these trades on a livestream. You can watch the recording here and learn additional background details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNTNmJ4YL_s Happy option selling! Remember to only sell puts on companies you're ready to own at that price for the long-term and to only sell calls if you're ready to part with your shares at that price. Consider taking our Option Selling Bootcamp in the Classroom tab if you haven't done so already. It will give you a great foundation for improving the returns in your stock portfolio by generating consistent cashflow from options. None of this is financial advice, please do your own research and ask professionals.

VIX and IVR for Strategies
Markus, I am having AI run daily reports for me. In the spreadsheet I provide today and yesterday VIX as well as IVR of yesterday and today for tickers I'm interested in. I of course focus on higher IVR for selling premium and lower IVR for buying options. My question, do you have any formulas for what you look for based on strategies. Right now, I'm trying to only sell options when IVR and VIX is less than yesterday but higher than my minimum amount hoping that means it is now pulling in. Selling options right now, is the area I may be weakest on. I choose stocks that fly up, sell a cc, and then focus on managing out of it. LOL
3/30/26: What option strategies are you going with?
I'm still limited on the amount of options ive been selling. Are you going with spreads right now? I have been very conservative and mostly gold, oil servicers, and sgov.
