Valuable lesson learnt (The hard way)
Today I decided to follow along with the Complete Guide to Qigong/Tai chi.
I had noticed in all Sonny’s videos his feet were facing forward for most of the basic stances and exercises. I was having problems with this, as I felt uncomfortable. My feet would always be in a toes out position of about 20/30°.
During the ‘advance’ movement, I suddenly felt and heard a loud crack in one knee. When I looked at my stance I saw that I had my feet in this outward facing position. I changed the stance and continued without any pain or discomfort.
(LESSON LEARNT!!)
Also during ‘playing the pipa’ I found that I was raising the arm and leg to the centre of my body, thus causing imbalance. By watching the movement again, I saw and resolved my problem.
Having these videos online to review is fantastic.
Thank you.
