UPDATE: Connecting with CEOs
TL:DR: sent a book - got a high-profile connection
A while back I made a post about connecting with CEOs by sending them something physical in the mail.

It took me longer than intended to get this package out the door and now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner.
The attached screenshot is the reply I got.
A blue check doesn't mean what it used to but most people in this group would know who this person is (or at least his companies).
If I'm honest?
I could have cold DMed him and started a conversation, however...
I'm sure he gets that all the time.
...And he probably wouldn't have been so quick to OFFER to jump on a Zoom with me.
I have no idea how this'll play out but I'm pretty sure the $50 I spent on the book will be a good investment into the relationship over the long term.
Bonus tip: I never used to be much of a 'content creator' but I'm finding more and more it's helping start conversations.
This convo could have easily been "Thanks for the book" and I would've had to figure out where to take the talk from there.
The posts on my timeline gave a valuable jumping-off point.
