Wore the new thrifted herringbone tweed to church today. Last night, I dialed in the fit by wetting it a bit before tossing it in the dryer. I think it really came out well. Obviously it's not quite tweed weather yet, even in this part of the country, but it was in the low 70s all day and I figured it was close enough to take a new piece for a little test drive, anyhow. I styled it two different ways, in the afternoon service with black pants and boots, and red accents; and the evening with olive chinos, brown brogues, and burgundy accents in the tie and pocket square. Vote for your favorite! I think they are both good. The black/red feels a little dressier, but I think the olive/burgundy feels a little more like me and is more versatile. I really can't decide.
