My new cane
Today is my chemo birthday. I survived Pancreatic Cancer and the Whipple surgery that came with it. 11 rounds of chemo and I was declared disease free 1 year ago today. A new start in life to be sure. One of the side effects of my particularly aggressive type of chemo is neuropathy in my feet as well as having diabetic neuropathy. Kind of the one two punch. So I now use a cane to steady myself and not look like I have had too much to drink. I found this carbon fiber cane on Fashionablecanes.com and decided to give myself a present. It weighs slightly more than air. It is fixed so no collapse feature but that also makes it lighter. The metallic blue changes color to a purple color depending on how the light hits it. I am very happy with this purchase. I figure if you have to, life is too short to use an ugly cane.
