Get more fit for clothes
Gentlemen I need your help. I’ve done a pretty good job with diet and exercise for the past 5 years since my expensive spa (heart attack 3 stents). It wasn’t like I was in terrible shape considering I achieved my 5th Dan(degree) blackbelt in 2020. My routine when in full swing involves martial arts workouts 4x week +2 lifting days, + daily exercises and I am trying to get back on my swimming regime (used to swim 2 miles per week). Problem is…….…my name is “Brian McGuire and I am a cookieholic.” My nemeses is sweet food.
I’m on a quest to lose another 24lbs by my birthday mid August. Just like my recent closet thrift store re-tailoring project I have more opportunities in there. I’ve donated most of the “never did/ nor could ever fits”. But pants are the current behemoth. I have at least 50 pairs of pants counting jeans. Several are cheap trousers I don’t like that my wife bought for me bc mine were so threadbare she got me something to get by. Out of 50 pair - wear maybe 10.
Before I go on- yes I realize as should all of the soldiers in the Centeno Brigade by now that you should buy to fit your current body shape therefore don’t wait till you hit some unrealistic size
But this is a quest so let’s not discuss that wise mantra here in this thread.
The ask. Who is with me?
Would you like to use this thread to set a goal of “waist loss” (estimated 8lbs per inch of waist size avg is the claim).
How: state your current weight; waist; goals; and your “sins” weekly along with me every Monday.
For extra help I use an 80 yr old personal trainer. (Don’t be fooled- this guy has run the Tulsa Marathon -15k- 45 yrs straight and does welter weight body fitness competitions)
So here is my example:
-current waist in inches. Me 34-36’ pants (39.5” at the true goo level😳)
-Weight in pounds Me 189lbs
-Goal by 8/18 (can be size or a garment or both)
Me 165lbs by 8/18. Want to re tailor 3 suits +10 min pairs of pants this should equate to 33-35” waist (36 goo)
-What you ate that was a sin
Me:Cookies and cake a lot this past weekend.
