Condolences from the tie out with pattern mixing
My wife casually mentioned as she left for work that our Sunday school friend’s favorite color was purple -so she wore a purple blouse for a Kelly’s 2:00 funeral today. I thought I would join my spouse in solidarity by wearing a purple tie. From that I chose my grey/brown fancy stripe suit. For interest I chose a Prince of Wales blue background shirt.
I have posted frequently on the art of mixing patterns: broad stripes with tighter patterns, focus on how a suit “reads” from a reasonable distance, attempt to limit the colors to three (another reason a suit ie matching pant and coat helps with mixed patterns )etc. I’ve attached Antonio’s video again for those still reticent to venture out.
