Coastal Country
Too windy. Too cloudy. Beach plans officially vetoed by Mother Nature.
But quitting on style? That’s not very South Texas of me.
So instead, I leaned fully into the South Texas gentleman aesthetic—because if the sun won’t show up, I will. I’ve got my well-loved brown Lucchese cowboy boots on the ground, crisp blue jeans doing what they do best, and a classic black tee holding down the fort under a rich brown corduroy Levi’s pearl snap. Effortlessly cool, with just enough “I know a good taco spot” energy.
Topping it off is my wide-brimmed brown Stetson—equal parts shade, swagger, and “yes ma’am.” On the wrist, the Casio G-Shock Mudmaster GG-B100 (the olive green strap, because details matter). Tough enough for the brush, the bar, or whatever South Texas throws my way.
Finished the look with a hit of Infrared Spicebomb—because even cloudy days deserve a little heat.
All together, it’s an outfit that says I’m ready for anything: a cold beer on the island, a surprise two-step under palm trees, or just standing my ground against coastal wind like a true South Texan should.
P. S. If looks as if I’m hanging from an iron-linked steel chain pardon my lovely wife who still hasn’t caught on how to correctly frame a photo.
