One of the things that I've been a little ahead of in my journey to become more cultured and gentlemanly is in having some original artwork. We hit 7 sales today and although I didn't find any clothes or shoes that I couldn't live without, I did find this painting. I'm a big fan of Surrealism and I got this one for a great price today. I didn't even know who the artist was but I've been in this game long enough to recognize quality so I grabbed it up. I was researching it a bit just now and I've located the artist - John Floyd Morris 1920-1991. John Floyd Morris was active/lived in United States. John Morris is known for Landscape, surrealism. John Floyd Morris was a fascinating American member of the circle of Surrealists that included Dali, Ernst, Carrington, Eluard, Breton, and especially Edward James.
I don't love the frame (mostly the color) but the work itself is skillfully executed and thought provoking. This is titled "Finalemente" which translates to "Finally" or "At Last"
