I have heartbreaking news for any of you whoever saw my adorable twitch Zoom bombing us or playing with my paint brushes while I was trying to paint or running off with a pen. You should really be using the coastline which one from being her playful self to having one off day to crossing the rainbow bridge. I woke up this morning with the cat and I never imagined that in the middle of the day she would be gone. Hard enough when you know it's coming but really difficult when it's a complete Yes, she had stomatitis, but that didn't mean I was expecting her to leave me. So if my energy feels a little off for a bit please give me a bit of Grace. I'm still doing the playdate etc, but it's definitely not the best of times here. Here are some pictures and videos of her. Those of you who were on Playdates or Zooms or other events probably metTwitch, my tortoiseshell kitty who just passed this week. She was well known for running off with things, messing with stuff, and zoom-bombing us. This poem tells Twitch's story. I tried getting it into a Chicken Soup book. It didn't make that, but it did get into an international literary magazine. Receiving Love by Rev Dr Ronda Del Boccio in eMerge Magazine. Wheezing and starving, with scraggly fur, no one to love and take care of her.Homeless and frightened, hiding from storms, the tiny kit cried out to be safe and warm. At last, when it seemed she was going to die, a kind woman heard her sad, plaintive cry.She warmed the cat up, got her medical care, but her savior had to leave her there. So at the clinic the tortoiseshell stayed. A long recovery, then finally spayed.She’d have stomatitis the rest of her life and need special kibble, easier to bite. One day in Facebook’s What’s On Your Mind? I said, “I want a cat!” a rescue all mine.A reply, “She’s at the vet. They haven’t found a good home for her yet.” One look at her pic—“I must have her with me and my golden guide dog for her family!”Her picture I held in my welcoming heart, then brought her home for a brand-new start. Sweet and playful, yet so full of fear, she wouldn’t allow me to hold her near.At last she had safety, good food and fun toys, but harsh stray life had stolen her joys. At first I could never put Twitch on my lap, an open hand she feared might just slap.Two-handed reaching meant go run and hide. Living for sure, but not truly alive. She loved to bite paper and twitch her long tail, and watch squirrels scurrying on the railShe snuggled Jemma in her soft doggy bed. They became buddies, the best of friends. My mission remained: teach Twitch to receive, open her heart, and learn to believe,To bask in the love I so freely provide, and not just survive, but to honestly thrive.

In honor of the Nuggiversary (4 years today) here are some homemade dog biscuit recipes: Cheese Dog Biscuits 1 cup rolled oats 1/3 cup margarine 1 cup boiling water OR BEEF BROTH 3/4 cup cornmeal 2 teaspoons beef broth granules (if not using actual broth) ½ cup milk 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 egg, beaten 3 cups whole wheat flour Directions/method 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, margarine, and boiling water. Let stand 10 minutes. Grease cookie sheets. 3. 4. Thoroughly stir in cornmeal, bouillon, milk, Cheddar cheese, and egg. Mix in flour, 1 cup at a time, until a stiff dough has formed. 5. 6. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface, mixing in additional flour as necessary until dough is smooth and no longer sticky. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2" thickness. Cut with cookie cutter and place 1 inch apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. 7. 8. Bake 35 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Cool before serving. Store in a loosely covered container. ______________________________________________________________ Peanut Butter Banana Dog Biscuits 1 egg 1/2 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup mashed banana 1 tablespoon honey 1 cup whole wheat flour ½ cup wheat germ OR oats Directions / Method 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). 2. Lightly grease a baking sheet. 3. Stir together the egg, peanut butter, banana, and honey in a medium bowl. 4. Blend thoroughly. 5. Stir in the flour and wheat germ; mix well. 6. Turn dough out onto a floured board and roll to 1/4 inch thick. 7. Cut into desired shapes with a cookie cutter, place on prepared baking sheet, and brush tops with egg white. 8. Bake biscuits in preheated oven until dried and golden brown, about 30 minutes, depending on size. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. _____________ I found this one for a pet treat maker, which I don't have...but if I ever find one on the cheap (at a thrift store or jumble sale), I'd get it.
