...but luckily that wasn't true! Okay, kind of it was or let's put it this way: Combining a career as a German native actress and voice-artist and moving abroad to Namibia didn't come without its challenges but I am glad I went on this journey which required me to rethink the freelance-artist mindset and become a creative entrepreneur.
Today I am the proud owner of a digital audiobook publishing house (all productions are entirely remote with authors and narrators from mainly Germany, Switzerland and Austria). I have produced and published 77 audiobooks and my goal is to have a portfolio of 100 by end of this year.
I am also working on other productions - this year I have narrated 10 documentaries already and a contract for 10 more is to follow.
My first digital product was an audioguide app for Namibia and I am still busy improving that one further. I am also writing my first novel and had a casting for a movie last week in the final round (from time to time I still get to be in front of the camera instead of just in front of the mic).
Excited to be here and can't wait to see what I can learn from everyone.
