How I schedule my days
I’ve talked with some people (shout out @Jess Lloyd and @Jen Bessire!) about what struggles they had organization-wise. It seemed like routines was a big theme, so I thought I’d share what I do: I bought a back pocket journal because I like physically writing Here’s my format: - Date - Time block - Balance - Review Date and time blocks are pretty self explanatory, so I’ll go into Balance and Review Balance lists three priorities for the day Review lets me rate my day on how present I was, if I was able to express myself, and how stable I was (mentally, emotionally, etc) I also date the following pages so I can journal a bit throughout my day. I find when I do that, I tend to have better days Here’s a pic. Hope this helps!

ECOS Analysis: The Milky Way Galaxy
Fun fact: I have a underlying fascination for astronomy. The brilliance of stars and their colossal size and distance always boggled my mind. So, I thought I’d try to analyze the Milky Way using the ECOSystem. Here’s what I came up with: 🟣 Soul (Intention): A couple different perspectives: - Human Centric: It is our home. It’s purpose is to balance star systems so we may exist - Star Centric: It’s intention is to birth stars from whirling gas clouds - Universe Centric: It’s intention is to balance neighboring galaxies, as their gravities pull on one another 🔵 Direction (Goal): Create star systems, foster complex life forms, zoom through space 🟢 Creative (Expression): Spiraling arms and a brilliant black hole holding it all together 🌕 Performance (Metrics): How fast it’s traveling, how many stars are being born/dying, chemical composition 🟠 Conservation (Resources): dark matter, nebulous gas clouds, gravitational potential, etc 🔴 Operations (Work/Execution): gravity binding stars together, supernovas recycling elements into new generations ⚪ Observation (Lens): Humans observing with telescopes, spiritual entities observing outside space and time REAL audit: - Resources it used: Gas clouds, dark matter, gravitational energy - What it Expresses: Spiral arms, starlight, radio/infrared emissions - What makes it an Asset: Potential for habitable worlds, cultural inspiration - When it could be a Liability: Instability over billions of years, cosmic collisions This exercise showed me the tension between 🟣 Soul and ⚪️ Observation. In the example with the airplane seatbelt symbol, the intention seemed fairly simple: to keep people safe. But when we’re looking at an example on a massive scale (like a galaxy), then the intention starts to become fuzzy. So, Observation is helpful because it provides context to the system. Depending on the context, intentions may look different (which is something I’ve seen in interpersonal relationships).

Biggest struggle with being organized?
What are some things that you struggle with that you’d like to solve? For example, do you struggle with routines? Focus on tasks? Desk clutter? Just trying to get a sense of what’s stressing you all out
ECOSystem on an airplane
I’m writing this on a flight to Las Vegas for my uncles 70th birthday My mom and I started talking about the ECOSystem, and I decided to use an example in the plane to ex(plane) it I used the seatbelt buckle symbol as an example. This is what I came up with: 🟣 Soul: the intention is to keep passengers safe 🔵 Direction: the goal is to communicate to passengers to stay seated 🟢 Creative: the communication is expressed in a way that represents a seat buckle - (An alternative could be the explicit words “please keep seatbelt fastened”, so the symbol is a creative choice) 🟡 Performance: The person in charge of turning the symbol on and off likely has an indicator that the light is on 🟠 Conservation: There are likely a certain amount of wires that are used to power the lights and how much electricity the lights require to function, which are both resources needed 🔴 Operation: This is the electricity actually moving through the circuitry to the light. The actual function of the whole thing ⚪️ Observation: this is the role we’re playing in being aware of the system. The observer is also involved in the process This is just a fun exercise I like to do to understand the ECOSystem better. What are your thoughts? ⬇️

Update: Automation
Hi all! I recently got some really good advice to start getting into automation (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc) to help small businesses to organized (shout out @Przemek Rochon) Up until I got that advice, I really had no idea how to deliver the logic/paradigm of the ECOSystem. But this feels like the direction I should go Just keeping you all updated Let me know if you’d like me to share what I’m learning Thanks! :)
