Weekly Call Recap – Part 1: Systems > Motivation
We were almost done with the call, and I realized I forgot to press record. My mistake won't happen again lol. Down below is what we talked about! We talked about why improving your life isn’t about trying harder or being more disciplined, it’s about building better systems. Most people think they’re the problem. In reality, their systems just don’t support the change they want. Goals are the outcome, but systems are the daily habits that actually get you there. If the system is broken, the goal doesn’t matter. We also covered the idea of 1% changes. Small habits don’t feel powerful in the moment, but they compound fast, for better or worse. What you repeat eventually becomes automatic, just like learning to tie your shoes. Consistency beats intensity every time. Another big theme was seasons of life. Not every habit fits every season. Some habits that helped you survive an earlier phase can actually hold you back now. The key question isn’t “Is this a good habit?” but “Is this habit aligned with the season I’m in right now?” We wrapped up by shifting focus from position to trajectory. Where you are right now matters way less than the direction you’re moving. The scale, the numbers, the current results, that’s POSITION. Your habits, consistency, and effort? That’s TRAJECTORY. -Progress comes from improving the direction, not obsessing over the starting point. And finally, we talked about motivation vs clarity. Most people don’t lack motivation, they lack CLARITY. When you know what you’re working on and make it fit your personality, it stops feeling like force. If something feels miserable, it’s usually a sign the system needs adjusting, not that you’re failing. ✨ This was Part 1 of the Mel Robbins + James Clear breakdown. We’ll go over the second half on the next call, and I’ll share the full document once we’ve covered everything, so it actually clicks instead of feeling like info overload. If you were on the call, drop one takeaway that stuck with you. If you missed it, you’re still right on time 🫶

Call replay and recap🔥
➡️This all comes down to PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY Whatever you blame, you give power to. Your past, other people, your circumstances, holding onto them keeps you stuck. Saying “it’s my fault” isn’t self-hate, it’s self-power. Because if it’s on you, you can change it. ➡️We lie to ourselves more than anyone else. That’s where the idea of “people are right 99% of the time, but you’re wrong 100% of the time” comes in. We’re objective about others, but biased about ourselves. People will seem right about your limits… until the one moment you prove them wrong and that’s the only moment that matters. People are right until they’re wrong. ➡️Most people flip pleasure and pain. They choose comfort today and push pain to tomorrow but today is yesterday’s tomorrow. Start where you are and take the next step. Who you surround yourself with matters. If you don’t want their life, don’t take their advice. It’s better to have friends who force you to grow than ones who accept you staying the same. ➡️Stop mental masturbation as in, thinking, planning, and consuming without action. It feels productive, but it’s fake progress. Action is what actually moves the needle. ➡️Waiting for a special occasion assumes today isn’t worth improving and that’s a lie. If you had a winning lottery ticket, you wouldn’t wait to cash it in. Your life is no different. ➡️You only need three things: 1. The courage to start 2. The ability to learn 3. The heart to not quit Winners focus on winning. Losers focus on winners. Ask your 85-year-old self if what you’re doing today gets you closer, then act.

Weekly call replay📣
Key takeaways from tonight’s call 👇 ⚡️Clear goals remove excuses. Vague goals keep you stuck. ⚡️Motivation is unreliable. Systems are repeatable. ⚡️Consistency wins. Intensity is optional. ⚡️“Neurons that fire together, wire together.” Reps create results. ⚡️Habit stacking = easier follow-through (attach a new habit to something you already do). ⚡️Compliance is the science “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” — James Clear If you watched the replay, drop one small habit you’re committing to this week ⬇️ Simple. Doable. Consistent.🔥

Missed the call? Here’s the replay! “Eat the frog” ➡️Don’t wanna work out? → Do it first thing. ➡️Dreading a task? → Knock it out before the “easy” stuff. Do hard things first thing in the day and the rest of the day will be easy. When you eat the frog first: Everything else feels easier Your anxiety drops You build momentum fast You stop procrastinating because the worst part is already done If you don’t do it first, it just hangs over you all day and drains your energy. @everyone

Call Highlights
💬 Your self-talk becomes your story. The things you repeat — “I’m bad at routines,” “I always fall off,” “I’m not disciplined”, become the identity you live from. When you shift the story, you shift the behavior. 🧠 You act like the person you believe you are.Not the person you wish you were.If you tell yourself you’re too busy to work out, you won’t even try.If you tell yourself you make time for yourself… you’ll show up. 👀 You’re not at the mercy of your circumstances. You’re at the mercy of your interpretation.Same situation, two meanings: - “I can’t fit in a workout.” - “I can do 20 minutes instead of nothing.” Your results follow the meaning you choose. 💛 Self-respect starts with you. If you want others to respect you, it begins with how you treat yourself. Every small follow-through = a vote for the identity you’re building. Micro-promises build confidence and the energy people feel from you. @everyone
