Woodland Craft challenge!
Right folks, got another wee challenge for you all. Let's see everyone's Swedish candles. Here's a mini one I've made and it's use really is just as a small campside candle, not your usual big stump sized one that can be used for cooking etc. A fun wee challenge to practice those carving & crafting skills! Lots of instructions online but you can find a short brief below: •Saw off a small chunk of branch •Baton into 4 pieces •Carve a small groove in each piece making sure to keep them all relative in size. •Place each piece back together & secure with cordage (bonus points for natural, I used twine here) •Melt wax or pine resin and fill the 'cup' •Place a wick inside and allow to harden Then: 📷 Share a photo of the finished product! Member who's candle looks the best will receive a shout out & pinned post! 🌿🔪🪵

Pack for Day 3, Not Day 1 Day 1 - You’re fresh, organised, and suspiciously optimistic. Day 3 is where reality shows up. When packing, ask yourself: • Will I still want to carry this when I’m tired? •Will I still need this when things are damp, messy, and morale is low? •Can this item do more than one job? Focus on: 🌿Reliable basics over “nice-to-haves” 🌿Lightweight, multi-use gear 🌿Easy access to essentials when you’re low on energy Because by Day 3, no one cares how clever your packing system is. You care about warmth, food, and not hating your bag. Old-school rule: if in doubt, simplify. Mini challenge: Lay your kit out and remove 3 non-essential items before your next trip. You won’t miss them & your shoulders will thank you

Alrighty team, bit late in posting this, have been wrangling a small child today (my own, don't worry!). It’s Monday… which means one thing: What’s in your bag? This week’s challenge: 🎒 List the first 5 things in your daypack right now (no editing, no thinking too hard) Be honest… we all know there’s: ⚒️Something useful ⚒️Something random ⚒️Something you forgot was even in there 👉 Bonus: Which item in your bag do you never actually use but still carry “just in case”? Drop your list below 👇 Photos welcome as always 😁 Let's see everyone's loadouts.

Unpopular opinion time… There’s a lot of outdoor gear out there that people think they need… but don’t. So this week: What piece of outdoor gear do you think is overrated or unnecessary? 👀 Something you’ve stopped carrying 👀 Something you bought and quickly ditched 👀 Or something everyone else swears by… but you’re not convinced Be honest. No judgement (well… maybe a little). 👉 Bonus: What do you use instead? Because the outdoors has never been about having more. It’s about knowing what actually matters. Drop your thoughts below 👇

Guys, I'm looking for a portable fire pit to use with young people. I've had a few over the years but needing a new one for work. Key features: - Fairly Lightweight - Easy to set up - Ideally protects the ground (via a compartment or other) - Can cook basic things on top - Not too expensive (work is purchasing this and budgets are tight!) Drop your fave portable fire pits below or recommendations! Help a gal out! Looking forward to the discussion!
