Tonight, treat eating as a regulation practice.
Put your phone away. No TV. No noise.
Go sit somewhere quiet and safe.
Sit down and do NOTHING for a moment.
Do not rush into the meal. Let your body arrive before you eat.
As you eat, slow yourself on purpose. If you notice yourself eating fast … slow down. Put the fork down between bites. Chew fully. Breathe.
If your mind starts racing, don’t fight it.
Bring your awareness back into your body.
Ask yourself:
- How do my legs feel as they rest on the ground?
- What does my stomach feel like right now?
- Can I feel my feet touching the floor?
Each time you return to the body, you return to safety.This practice isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness. And awareness is the first step to change.
