âWhy the Science of PDR beats just 'watching' it happenâ
Whatâs up everyone! I just wrapped up my first week of training with Dean, and I wanted to share some perspective for anyone else just starting out or thinking about jumping in.
As an appliance repair tech, Iâm used to technical precision, but PDR is a whole different beast. Dean really helped me bridge that gap. There is a huge difference between watching a dent disappear on a screen and actually understanding the science and the "blueprints" of the metal that make it happen.
A few takeaways from my first week:
⢠Don't fear the 'Civilian' status: Being the new guy in a room of pros is way less scary when youâre all sharing the same blueprints.
⢠Precision over Pressure: I struggled with creating high spots at first by using too much pressure, but Deanâs coaching helps you slow down and find your mark.
⢠The Energy: Dean makes you feel comfortable to keep learning and pushing, even when the damage looks tough
.
Dean is a natural mentor who doesn't take shortcuts and holds us to an incredibly high standard. If you're here to master the craft and get it down to a science, you're in the right place.
Letâs get it! đ
