Pro Wrestling History Lesson
I had a former student send me this link to a fantastic video on Youtube recently.
Anyone that has studied under me, knows that I value the history of our industry and I try to educate as many as I can about it.
This quick snapshot explains how wrestling went from shoot competitions during the Civil War to our current worked environments.
While some things aren't 100% on point, and they skip over some chunks, I thought it was a great look from a channel that isn't pro wrestling focused.
And I was blown away at the serious tone it takes.
Most non-wrestling fan/groups poke fun at our industry and lean into the stereo-types and this one doesn't.
It almost presents it in a scholarly way, if you can believe it.
