When I first heard Russell say this in his training, it hit me hard. I realized I had been overcomplicating my business... chasing tactics, tools, and random strategies. Something New Makes Copy Unique
Thanks everyone for your comments on my last post about copywriting! So here we go — without holding back. You’ve probably heard people say, ā€œMake your offer uniqueā€ or ā€œWrite something new in your copy.ā€ And if you haven’t, well… now you have. šŸ˜… Something new gives your reader a reason to believe you’re different — not just another name in the crowd. But here’s the thing — being new or unique alone doesn’t make people buy. What makes them buy is explaining the ā€œnew.ā€ You have to show them how you’re new and why that matters. For example: If I say, ā€œI write compelling storytelling copy for your business,ā€ you’ll probably think, ā€œSo what? Thousands of people say that.ā€ šŸ‘‰ Result: Rejected. But if I say, ā€œI’ll write storytelling copy that speaks your audience’s language — in your brand’s unique voice,ā€ now you’re thinking, ā€œHmm… that’s different.ā€ See the difference? Being more specific about your ā€œnewā€ helps. Like I said — I’ll speak your audience’s language in your unique brand voice.
