Something New Makes Copy Unique
Thanks everyone for your comments on my last post about copywriting! So here we go ā without holding back. Youāve probably heard people say, āMake your offer uniqueā or āWrite something new in your copy.ā And if you havenāt, well⦠now you have. š
Something new gives your reader a reason to believe youāre different ā not just another name in the crowd. But hereās the thing ā being new or unique alone doesnāt make people buy. What makes them buy is explaining the ānew.ā You have to show them how youāre new and why that matters. For example: If I say, āI write compelling storytelling copy for your business,ā youāll probably think, āSo what? Thousands of people say that.ā š Result: Rejected. But if I say, āIāll write storytelling copy that speaks your audienceās language ā in your brandās unique voice,ā now youāre thinking, āHmm⦠thatās different.ā See the difference? Being more specific about your ānewā helps. Like I said ā Iāll speak your audienceās language in your unique brand voice.
