I don’t talk about this much. But truth is… I grew up believing average was the dream. A steady job. A small house. Just enough to get by. Vacations? Only in movies. Retirement? Not a word we used. We measured wealth in small wins like when the lights stayed on, or when we didn’t have to borrow gas money. I told myself: One day, I’ll live without counting every dollar. Fast forward… Now I bring in more in a single month than my parents made in a whole year. And yet I don’t always feel rich. I feel unprepared. Untrained. Uneasy. Because nobody warned me about this stage. I know how to stretch a dollar. I know how to grind until my body breaks. But knowing how to build? How to protect? How to multiply? That’s foreign. Sometimes I splurge because I can. Sometimes I avoid looking at my accounts because it feels overwhelming. And every time, guilt creeps in because I remember the kid who prayed for enough, and I wonder if I’m failing him now. What I really want isn’t just more. I want mastery. I want to design a life that outlives me. I want to make choices, not just react to fear. But I’ll be honest right now, I don’t have the blueprint. No budget. No system. Just momentum.
