Let's Talk About Postpartum Hair Loss For A Minute
What Causes Postpartum Hair Loss?
Postpartum hair loss (aka telogen effluvium) is totally normal and temporary, but that doesn’t make it any less emotional..
Root Cause: Hormonal Shifts
During pregnancy, high levels of estrogen prolong the growth phase of your hair (called the anagen phase), so your hair feels thick, full, and luxurious.
After birth, those hormone levels plummet and a large number of hairs quickly shift into the resting/shedding phase (telogen). That’s why, around 2–4 months postpartum, you may suddenly notice:
  • Hair shedding in clumps
  • Thinning around the temples or hairline
  • Overall loss of volume or texture
This is your body resetting, not failing.
Do you/Are you struggling wit this, Which of these have you tried?
