For many reasons I do not like AI art and I don’t want my chapter poets to have to rely solely on artificial art to accompany their works. That is why I want to include artists in our chapter membership.
I guess the main reason is the response my sons said when I first started using AI art in a project I was working. Under their breath I heard them say “oh this is an AI drawing,”
Surprised I asked them how they knew. They pointed out several inconsistencies with the eyes, fingers, etc.
Plus, I do not want to exclude the use of live (human) artists and their work.
I paid artists to draw from AI drawing examples for my book covers, in their own abilities.
One of our new members asked: “but won’t people get confused by our name: ‘POETRY’ Business Network?”
I said: “focus on the word ‘Network’ in our name, and realize the many creatives that can help us produce quality products.”
I was expecting pushback and further discussion, but they simply said: “oh yeah”.
What do you think? Shouldn’t we use our live artists, rather than creating drawings to accompany our poems? Of course our chapter members can do as they choose, but I want them to have options. And several types of creatives (artists, singers, musicians, etc) can also benefit from our PBN training.
Let’s all go up together!
