… the behind the scenes of our Open Stage variety show. He was at the event where I introduced my company a few weeks back. Not sure what he has in mind but I said yes and invited him to our actors’ rehearsal and auditions tomorrow evening. As we talked I realized he needed to be a member of our chapter so I invited him to our next Meet Up. Networking works.

I'm developing a signature program for healing through art and poetry with a Christ centered lens. I got on a few market research calls and 2 of the ladies basically were like send me the link. One of them said they had been searching for what I described the night before but could not find it. This level of confirmation is unmatched - people are looking for what we have, we just have to be willing to share it with the world.

That is how I was asked to interview for my local newspaper. The journalist was actually my instructor from a Professional Branding class I took a few weeks ago. When she asked the students to introduce themselves, I basically recited my 30 second Elevator Speech. She was impressed, said she had never heard of a poetry business, and that she would like to interview me. After the interview I was asked if I wanted to work with her in the University Ciry school district and bring my love for poetry for the students to witness. This was a great opportunity to introduce myself; and the blessings that follow may prove to be a huge boost to my company. Closed mouths don’t get fed. Speak up!
