On The Radio
I mentioned when I first joined here (in the post "A Newbie In Your Midst"), that my show, The Stuph File Program, was on several radio stations. Currently, the show is on WorldFM in New Zealand; WNRH-LP FM in New Port Richey, Florida; KZZH-LP FM in Eureka, California; CKUW 95.9 FM in Winnipeg; CKLU 96.7 FM in Sudbury, CFMU in Hamilton; CFMH– Local 107.3FM in St. John, New Brunswick; CHSR 97.9FM in Fredericton, New Brunswick; and more. While the show has been on commercial stations (and thus charge them for it) the stations I mentioned above are either college stations, here in Canada, or LP (low-powered community stations) in the US. The one thing that these stations have in common is that they are low-budget stations. Now, back in my day in college (some 40 years ago) I too ran a college station, so I know how hard it is, especially since many in the outside world treat us like "kids playing radio". For that reason, college or community stations can run The Stuph File Program absolutely free. I will never charge one of those stations for taking the hour-long weekly show. As I mentioned in the previous post, I started this program back in 2009 after a 30 year career in terrestrial radio, the last 20 doing a late night show here in Montreal on CJAD (a program that for the last four years of its run was also heard on sister station CFRB in Toronto). I also spent six years working as a television news anchor on the Global Television Network. I’m also the author of the book, Great Conversations: My Interviews With Two Men On The Moon And A Galaxy Of Stars (BearManor Media).
