Unit 1 Done - Need Reviewers
The content for Finding the Path to Profit, the first unit in the Skool Plan as You Grow classroom is now complete. We need a couple of experienced communicators to read through the unit as an editor, not just a participant. Let Carolyn know if you are interested. [email protected].

Getting too many emails?
Skool lets you limit the number of messages you get from this platform. To adjust frequency or stop messaging, login and go to the home screen. Please don't block messages from the organizer, I only do that a couple times a month. 1. From the home screen, click on your profile image. Mine is top right on my Mac and bottom right on my iPad. 2. Click edit profile 3. Choose notifications from the menu across the top 4. If you have multiple classes in your Skool, choose this one. 5. They offer a lot of communication options for you to adjust or turn off. Personally, I put the Skool app on the home screen of my iPad. When I sit down to read, I have a little red badge telling me if there are messages in the app. I check in daily, but only have the weekly digest hit my email.

Getting too many emails?
Building a business is hard.
This frustrations chat space is a place where we can talk about frustrations we might not want to share with our team. While it’s important to be honest and vulnerable, sometimes it’s best to work through our doubts with people who aren’t depending on us. Let’s get acquainted by sharing books, movies or other resources that have helped us get through difficult times. My favorite business book of all time is Good to Great by Jim Collins. He writes about what he calls the Stockdale Paradox, named after a famous admiral who survived a long stint as a POW in Vietnam. The soldiers who survived the prison camp and the CEOs in Jim’s study who led unremarkable companies to greatness all had one thing in common. The survivors were able to retain faith that they would prevail in the end, regardless of the difficulties facing them at the moment. They confronted the most brutal facts of their current reality and kept going. Jim summarizes the Stockdale Paradox in a 6-minute YouTube video at https://youtu.be/GvWWO7F9kQY?si=iWlbx2pvc8_SEj_C
