The client's journey
Hi everyone!
I struggle with mindset a lot specially feeling I should be a lot further in my business than I am. But something just clicked for me yesterday and I heard Ina's voice in the back of my mind reminding me to "keep showing up". My last two events I vendored at felt like a flop. I got only a couple of leads between the two of them for my giveaway and it felt like a waste of time, money and energy. I talked to Ina and she told me to just keep showing up, to be seen by the dog community no matter what the outcome of the event is, that sometimes she does not get many leads at an event, but she was there and people see her name over and over. Well I read something along the lines that it takes a client 5-12 "touch points" before they can commit to purchase a service. That means they have to see your name around that many times in different places or from different sources to build that trust. It blew my mind. Showing good work and being able to show value in what we offer is not enough, we must be seen over and over for a client to believe us and see why they need our services. Just wanted to share in case anyone else could use the reminder that sometimes the fruits of our labour are not immediately apparent.
