🎥 Class Recap RECORDING: Q/A, User Management & Uber Security Project
🎯 Summary
we started with quick introductions where everyone shared what they have been studying and the areas they want to improve. i encouraged consistent practice and speaking up in every class so you build confidence explaining your thinking out loud.
🧩 Developer org vs Trailhead playground
use a developer org for deeper hands on building and portfolio work you can showcase. use a trailhead playground for guided trailhead modules and safe experiments tied to badges.
🧭 What a salesforce admin actually does
expect to handle user management, data quality, security configuration, automation with flow, reporting and dashboards, and day to day collaboration with the business to improve processes. the goal is to keep systems stable, secure, and useful while communicating clearly with stakeholders.
👥 User management walkthrough
for a new joiner, create the user, assign the correct license, select an appropriate profile for baseline access, then layer permission sets for any additional access. document what you change and communicate updates to the team so there are no surprises.
✅ Assignment
complete the official salesforce administrator trailmix up to and including permission sets. platform basics and the early modules should be done as part of this. everyone must also complete data security before the next class.
🗓️ Next class
the next class is tonight. come ready for scenario based questions on user management, profiles, permission sets, and data security. be prepared to explain your approach out loud.
🎥 recording
keep going, stay focused, stay committed, your next move could change everything.
