Introduction
My name is Bertha - 78 yrs.of age, married almost 44 yrs., mother of 2 daughters (41 and almost 43). Younger daughter has 2 children(ages 8 and 10) who I help with 2 days each week(after school) and see most weekends. We have a solid, loving relationship - if there are disagreements or concerns, we are able to discuss/resolve and move on. Older daughter and I have had a "bristly" relationship for many years - sometimes positive/caring and other times, more often, antagonistic. She has 4 children( ages 9,12,16,18), lives about 4 yrs.away, and I see them 1-2 times/year. It was slightly more often when children were younger. She is going through an acrimonious divorce currently and our relationship has suffered even more. I want this relationship to improve, for us to be able to enjoy each other, for me to be able to enjoy my grandchildren. Girls/daughters are very close with one another. Younger daughter tells me older daughter and I are much alike!! Looking forward to learning from you all.
