During the last part of the week kiddo opened up to me and shared some stuff.
He was in a situation where some things were said that made him uncomfortable. So he listened to his instincts and acted accordingly. I told him I was proud of him for listening to his instincts and that those are things we call…and at the same time we both said “Red flags”. He said, “Mom, I’m Gen Z and we know all about red flags.” I told him again how proud I was of him.
As parents we are always trying to teach our kids how to make good decisions. As they grow up and spread their wings we hope they take our teachings and keep them in mind as they go on their journey. This incident reminded me that he’ll be ok.
What has happened lately with your kiddo that makes you feel better about them going out into the world?
And don’t forget about Parent Power Hour tomorrow at 4pm EST. Link is in the calendar.
