But not blending
One of the biggest beginner challenges is over blending.
Which is so hard because the paint is so luscious
It just BEGS to be blended!
Back and forth, Back and forth, back and forth

In class yesterday, I talked a bit more about how important it is to keep the colors separated.
This is a KEY element to not making mud with oil paints.
The system I teach, we mix precise colors, and we lay them next to each other.
Only a TINY bit of blending after the paint has set for a little bit.
