I just rebuilt my landing page for my home service business and realized I'd been breaking at least 4 of these rules without knowing it. Im stoked to be here and if you could give me like to get me closer to level 2 I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
Here's the checklist I now run through before I launch anything — figured I'd share it since it is super helpful for me.
Before you launch any landing page, check these 10 things:
- Does your headline call out a SPECIFIC person? ("Business owners" is too vague — what kind?)
- Is there a named method or system in the headline? (Your unique mechanism)
- Does the headline include a specific result WITH a timeframe?
- Are there 3–5 "WITHOUT" statements handling objections below the headline? (e.g., "Without climbing ladders" or "Without any upfront commitment")
- Is there only ONE offer on the page? (No "check out our other options" links)
- Are your CTA buttons result-driven? ("Get Your Free Quote in 60 Seconds" not "Submit")
- Are testimonials/social proof near the TOP, not buried at the bottom?
- Does every section on the page support the headline promise? (Congruency check)
- Is there a clear, specific guarantee visible on the page? (Not hidden in fine print)
- Have you gone through the entire funnel as if you were a cold visitor who's never heard of you?
