a friend of mine who teaches guitar wrote this. Not everyone who plays well is a good teacher.

"Learning music/guitar is not difficult. Too many teachers make it difficult.

My experience is there are four kinds of teachers. The guy who can strum a few chords and thinks he can teach, the guy who teaches because he needs the money, the guy who wants to show you how smart he is and then, the teacher I hope I am, who wants to pass on knowledge so the student can eventually teach himself. Teach them in such a way that they can tap into their innate creativity."
