I could play from sheet music 50 years ago when I was taking music theory in school. Now I can see that the notes are on different lines but I’ve forgotten completely how the marks on the page correlate to the fretboard. Nowadays it’s pretty much just getting my fingers to find the notes I’m hearing in my head.
What is your approach to playing these days and how did you get to this point?
