Pull Up a Chair — Coffee Hour Tomorrow ☕🌿
Aloha, gentle friends 🌿 I’m hosting our very first informal Nervous System Café Coffee Hour tomorrow morning, and I’d love to see you there. This isn’t a class or a workshop — it’s more like a gentle hangout: a place to sip something warm, say hello, and get to know each other in a relaxed, no-pressure way. We’ll have space for: - a few simple grounding or nervous-system soothing practices - soft check-ins (only if you want to share) - and optional card pulls for anyone who’d enjoy one You can come on camera or off, talk or just listen, stay for five minutes or the whole time — all of it is welcome here. Think of it like stopping by a little café:no expectations, just a place to land ☕🌿 🗓 When: Tomorrow (Friday 1/16/2026 USA) 🕚 11am Hawaiʻi 🕑 2pm Arizona 🕓 4pm Eastern 📍 Where: Right here in the Nervous System Café live space I’m really looking forward to being in the same virtual room together 💛

Pull Up a Chair — Coffee Hour Tomorrow ☕🌿
A Warm Welcome to Our Founding Members 🌿☕
To our founding members ☕💛 I just want to take a moment to say how deeply grateful I am for the small, brave group of humans who are here at the beginning of the Nervous System Café. Whether you arrived out of curiosity, care for yourself, or a quiet “maybe this is for me,” your presence matters. Every community starts as a tiny circle — and you are the ones who make this space feel warm, real, and alive. This café isn’t about performing healing or being “on.” It’s about having a place to land, to breathe, to be human, and to tend our nervous systems together in gentle, doable ways. I want to give a little wave of appreciation to: @Michelle H. @Sarah Stuve and @Jasmine Hodges If you feel up for it (no pressure at all), you’re invited to introduce yourself in a comment — even just a sentence or two ( or a vibe GIF!) — and tell us your favorite café beverage: ☕ A cozy Spiced Chai Latte 🧋 A creamy Iced Vanilla Oat Latte ✨ A soothing Golden Milk Elixir ☕ A bold Dark Roast, Black🫖 A proper Earl Grey (Hot!) 🌼 A calming Chamomile Herbal Tea or your own custom Nervous System Café order 😉 Thank you for being here at the very start. I’m really honored to be sharing this little corner of the internet with you 🌿 ps: Watch this space - new posts will be rolling out several times a week with invitations to slow down, savor, and show your nervous system some love. See you soon!

☕ Today’s Special: Orienting to Safety
If things feel a little loud or scattered today, here’s a simple five-step way to help your nervous system land. Nothing fancy. Nothing to do “right.” Just noticing what’s already here. Right here. In the now. Where nervous system safety exists. You can try this practice slowly, at your own pace: 5 things you can see A color, an item, a shape — something you notice in your field of vision. Name it. 4 things you can hear The birds outside. The hum of the refrigerator. A car driving by on the road. 3 things you can touch or feel Pick something up that you can reach. Notice its weight, its texture. A cup. The table. Fingertips touching each other. 2 things you can smell (or enjoy the thought of a smell)A favorite fruit. The scent of pine trees.Cut grass. Something familiar. 1 thing you can taste (or a taste you appreciate)A favorite beverage. Something comforting. It only takes 17 seconds for a thought to create momentum — for a thought to attract another thought like it. There’s no need to calm yourself down. By making the choice to redirect the mind to the present moment, we interrupt the flow of thoughts of unwanted things. This is just about reminding your body: "I’m here. I am okay in this moment. I am safe in this present moment." If you try this practice, you’re welcome to share what you noticed. Or simply enjoy the practice quietly, with a warm sip nearby ☕🌿

☕ Goodbye, 2025 (A Hui Hou)
As this year closes, we’re not rushing to sum it up or make meaning out of everything. 2025 asked a lot of nervous systems. It brought endings, shedding, and quiet reckonings. If you’re feeling tired, reflective, relieved, or tender — that makes sense. There’s nothing you need to wrap up neatly here. You don’t have to be grateful. You don’t have to be done processing. Tonight, we’re simply letting the year rest. Thank you, 2025, for what you revealed. You are welcome to set it down now. The Café is open. The lights are low. We’ll step into what’s next gently. ☕✨
