This is the #1 mindset block I see in beginners, so let’s break it down and fix it today.
“Hi Brand,
My name is [your name] and I’m a full-time UGC creator based in [city, country] who has worked with over 200+ brands worldwide.”
And I’m here to tell you:That is NOT the reason I land brand deals.
It’s just a little extra cherry on top, not the main ingredient.
So please don’t feel like you need experience to pitch brands. You don’t.
What actually makes a pitch work (especially for beginners) is:
✨ Personalizing it
✨ finding a pain point and showing how you can solve it
✨ Having STRONG portfolio that matches the brands aesthetic
✨ Writing like a real person (not a robot)
For example, instead of saying “I’ve worked with 200+ brands,” try:
💡 I’ve built a content style that feels like a friend’s recommendation, which is exactly what converts today.
💡 “I recently developed a UGC formula that’s been performing insanely well for the brands I work with and I’d love to tailor it for [Brand Name].”
THAT is what makes you stand out.
Even if you’ve worked with 0 brands so far, the way you position yourself and the value you offer is what gets replies.
And just so you know… if I had worked with 200+ brands but my pitch was generic or my portfolio was messy, I promise you no one would care 😂
So don’t wait for experience. Start now, use what you do have, and keep pitching.
Do you want me to drop a few more intro lines + a full example pitch you can steal this week?
