Hello guys,
I hope you are well
Today I want to pop up with a simple but important post.
Today I was on shift and when I started it this morning, all the team thought, "It's gonna be a very tough and hectic day."
And we were all right.
I'm just getting used to how things work in my ward, so for me when shifts are more chaotic it is really difficult to handle it.
But.. I approached my shift positively, inspired by all the team.
When it was time to wrap things up at the end of the shift something wonderful happened.
The manager came to me and to each one of the staff saying
"Thank you for all you have done today!".
And all the tiredness just went away. I felt a sense of being part of a great group.
We all did our best today, and when someone recognised and appreciated what we all have done... Well... For me that's leadership.
We have often talked about leaders and leadership in this community. What happened to me today gave me the chance to learn what being a true leader and a good team means.
Has it ever happened to you guys?!
Have a lovely evening
Take care ❤️
