A few weeks ago, I bought a funded challenge from Funding Pips ($5k).

The first day was extraordinary, giving me a 2.5% profit. However, the very next day, I experienced a loss, which I couldn’t accept. To satisfy my ego, I placed another order (loss), followed by yet another order (loss). I planned for an insane comeback the next day, but I still overtraded and lost. I even took trades that weren’t part of my trading plan.

I realized that my mistake was judging my strategy based on just 10-20 demo trades. To correct this, I modified my strategy into something more suitable for my-style-of-trading and backtested it starting from September 3rd, 2024.

Unfortunately, due to various reasons, I couldn’t invest in TradeZella or FXReplay. Instead, I stuck with the manual backtesting method using the bar replay option on TradingView.
