Weekend Reset 🧡
If your Year 11 carries exam worries around all evening, half-doing homework while half-worrying about the next mock, this one's worth trying.
Set a "worry window": 10 minutes, same time every evening, where they're allowed to write down every worry on their mind about school. Not solve them, just name them. When the timer's up, close the notebook. If a worry pops up again later, the deal is: "that's for tomorrow's window."
It sounds almost too simple, but giving anxious thoughts a scheduled slot, rather than banning them or dwelling on them all evening, tends to shrink them. The worries get heard, then the rest of the evening is actually free.
