A Little Movement = A Big Boost for GCSE Brains 🧠💪
With another school year now in full swing, it’s so easy for our teens to stay glued to their desks for hours. But here’s the thing — moving their bodies actually helps their brains work better. Exercise gets more oxygen and nutrients flowing to the brain, which makes it easier to focus, remember stuff, and even stay calmer under pressure. And it doesn’t have to be a full-on workout — just heading out for a walk in the fresh air can make a huge difference. Just don’t do what Murphy and I did yesterday. Aimed for 2-3 mile walk, got lost and ended up doing 8 miles! My poor feet today! So if your teen’s feeling stuck, encourage them to take a break and move a little. Sometimes a quick walk is the best revision tool there is. 🚶‍♀️✨ How does your teen like to recharge when school or revision gets heavy? I would love to share all of your ideas below.

Language Devices
A litte infographic of 5 well known langauge devices with examples. Hopefully this will help people to identify the devices within a piece of work or perhaps use them in their own creative writing. Comment below with what your favourite device is to use in your writing (nnot just the ones in the image). Have a great day 😊

Hey everyone! 👋Just uploaded a quick video where I break down three simple but crucial mistakes students often make when answering exam questions — and how to avoid them. Here’s a sneak peek: ❌ Not rewording the question in your intro and conclusion ❌ Drifting off-topic and not linking back to the question ❌ Not developing your analysis and adding detail 🎯 In the video, I explain each one and give easy strategies you can start using right away to keep your writing focused, clear, and exam-ready. If you want to boost your marks and make every sentence count — this one’s for you! 👇 Check it out and let me know your thoughts in the comments.
