For in-service
I just wrote this article. Please enjoy reading it but if you need it for in-service training, I have also provided that information for you as well.
We spend hours teaching rescue skills, practicing emergency action plans, and preparing lifeguards for emergencies. But how often do we discuss the role of human perception, stress, unexpected circumstances, and the possibility of freezing—even among trained professionals?
I think this would make a valuable topic for one of your monthly in-service trainings.
