I agree and align with all of his views, except for one. I think the 5-10 year timelines will come faster… more like 2-5 years IMHO. Great, short summary on the future of AI, and the world! What do you think about his viewpoints?

I watched this video last night and it made it hard for me to sleep. Kind of crazy how you can think that AI could use its intuition or confidence in something (that it doesn't know is right or wrong) as a reward signal to potentially get smarter?! Blows my mind. I think the magic of how this works is just statistics and the way normal distribution curves work. This is a bit weird for me to be sharing these thoughts, in the middle of the night, but in spirit of EO, here is my 5% on AI at this moment. And these are persistent thoughts, for over 25 years. A) USA related AI companies, supported by the US government, to invest hundreds of billions in Saudi Arabia. The sheer size of the capital flowing into AI projects is unprecedented. This is one of many similar and larger investments. We haven’t begun to feel the impact of this in our lives, but we will, soon. The biggest investments are still to be announced, and will likely be in joint military. Where should they be urgently hiring? We all need to become tech companies, fast. Why not hire up guys like this, and rapidly accelerate your transition to becoming an AI first company.
