"With AI, SEO is dead" If only I had a dollar for each time I've heard this...
TL;DR: This article proves SEO is powering ChatGPT's answers. Us SEOs are used to get point at the next thing to fall with every new update to the internet. Since about last year, with the arrival and increasing use of AI I've heard so many times "SEO is dead, AI will be doing all the searches by [insert day of next week here]". Yet, the need for SEO has boomed in the same time frame. I never understood why people wants AI to kill SEO so bad. By the way AI has been explained to me I've always thought it to be just faster Google as it takes basically everything it can get its claws on and formulate an answer based on that information; ergo, Search Engine Result Pages. Proof of this, at least with one AI, came out late last month in this beautiful article, which exposes ChatGPT uses up to 80% of Google Snippets to generate answers. Yes, AI has arrived to make SEO processes easier and faster, but SEO is still what keeps AI results relevant and I hardly see that changing. Do you also think SEO is on its way out?

ChatGPT Credits Are Here! Why You Should Be Using Them...
Lets just say, if you don't need to use them, you are probably not using ChatGPT properly :P

I'm curious if anyone else has started doing deep research on their first party data yet via connectors... its so fricken powerful!! And once you figure that out, you'll quickly need them credits ;)

@Edward Elliott oh man… well it’s super easy. You just engineer the prompt first… then use it for deep research, select your internal data sources, wait 5-45 minutes, read the report, then wipe your melted brain up off the floor. We’re just getting our MCP connectors set up for more data sources. Running into some rate limiting issues with Slack… and learning how to index things to work around that kind of stuff. I think all sorts of services are going to start rate limiting their API’s more aggressively as people start to realize how easy it is to do deep research on things like their CRM, ERP, accounting software, email, drives, SharePoint… or ALL OF THE ABOVE ALL AT ONCE. It’s now one of our new best practices with our clients to set up their MCP connectors for their teams account, and teach them all sorts of new use cases for internal analysis. Check your accounting software for discrepancies. Analyze your emails for missed opportunities, or dropped tasks. Analyze your ERP for cost inefficiencies. The opportunities are like a rabbit hole that gets wider the deeper you travel…

@Jen Bauer it’s super scary how many people I talk to don’t even know that AI can hallucinate… scary to think of all the downstream consequences of that. I’m optimistic that AI will soon solve for this.
