Back in 2017, I almost dropped out of the program that helped me break into tech sales.
Applying without hearing back.
Call after call.
No after no.
Nothing was sticking.
At one point, I thought maybe I just wasn’t cut out for this.
Maybe I should quit.
But I brought it up to my mentor during one of our check-ins.
He looked me straight in the eye and said, “Every no gets you closer to a yes.”
That moment shifted something in me.
I stopped seeing rejection as failure.
I started seeing it as part of the process.
Proof that I was still in the game.
One week later after that talk, I landed my first interview.
Then another.
Then an offer.
I’m grateful I didn’t quit. Grateful I had someone that believed in me.
Because that “yes” was already on its way but I just needed to keep going long enough to find it.
That experience still guides how I show up today.
In sales. In business. In life.
One yes can change everything. Keep going. You got this. 👏
