I believe in giving credit where it’s due, and once again Malcolm came to my rescue.
Over the last day and a half, I had been sending out messages to my LinkedIn network, which led to a Commercial Real Estate broker reaching out. She wanted to talk because her new client is transitioning from residential to commercial with a purchase target of $2M and under. I set the appointment, but as the time approached, the nerves and overthinking kicked in.
That’s when I immediately called Malcolm. He made himself available and coached me through the opportunity. He guided me to the qualifier checklist and spent the next hour preparing me for the call. Thanks to his direction, the conversation went great.
My biggest takeaway from that prep session with Malcolm was the ability to clearly see one of my weaknesses—something I can now turn into a strength. Another key takeaway was how I was able to educate the broker during our conversation. She expressed genuine gratitude and confidence in this new opportunity to expand her business model, and she made it clear she would send future investor referrals my way after pre-screening them.
