🌞 Supporting Your Body During This Season
As many of you move through the Medical Medium 3:6:9, the Biomed Gut Reset, and the remainder of your six-month healing journey, we wanted to share a gentle reminder: Healing has seasons. Right now, your body is already doing a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes. You're asking it to repair, rebalance, and restore while reducing its overall burden. During the summer, however, there can be additional demands on the body longer days, more activity, vacations, working outdoors, hotter temperatures, and increased sweating. All of these can increase your body's need for fluids, minerals, and nourishment. This isn't a season to underfuel yourself. It's a season to nourish yourself well. Some reminders to help support your body: 🍉 Aim for plenty of local in season fruits and vegetables each day. These provide water, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and the carbohydrates your body uses for energy and healing. 🥥 Don't forget coconut water. It can be a great way to replenish fluids and naturally occurring electrolytes, especially after time in the heat or increased activity. 💧 Hydration matters. Sip water consistently throughout the day rather than waiting until you feel thirsty. ☀️ Be mindful of long hours in the heat or physically demanding days. If you're working outdoors, caring for children, travelling, or simply busier than usual, recognize that your body may need additional rest, hydration, and nourishing foods. 🤍 Give yourself permission to slow down when needed. Trying to maintain your usual pace while also asking your body to heal can sometimes leave you feeling more fatigued. Listening to your body's cues and adjusting your expectations during this season is part of the healing process—not a sign of weakness. Remember, the goal isn't simply to get through the herbs, the 3:6:9 or complete the Gut Reset. The goal is to clean up a significant build up and added load on the system. create a strong foundation for long-term health over the next six months and beyond.

Morning Reflection: Release & Renew
Good morning, everyone. The Strawberry Moon reminds us of nature's cycles: growth, release, and renewal. While the full moon has passed, its energy can still serve as a gentle reminder to pause and reflect on what we're carrying and what we're ready to let go of. Take a few deep breaths and ask yourself: What am I ready to release? Stress, worry, self-doubt, resentment, perfectionism? Then ask: What am I making space for? Joy, abundance, love, peace, health, connection? Simple practices like journaling, meditation, gratitude, or even a few moments of intentional breathing can help calm the nervous system and create space for greater clarity and wellbeing. From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, seasonal allergies are often seen as a sign of deeper imbalances involving the Lung system and the body's protective energy. Dr. Cmolik often speaks about supporting the root cause rather than simply managing symptoms. Further teachings suggest allergies may reflect an overburdened immune system that has become more reactive to environmental triggers. Regardless of the lens, both approaches remind us that the body is always communicating with us. Today, consider what your body may be asking for: ✨ More rest✨ More hydration✨ More nourishment✨ More boundaries✨ More joy What are you releasing today, and what are you welcoming in? 🌙🍓

The Wisdom of Summer & Deep Healing
One of the things I appreciate most about Chinese Medicine is its understanding that symptoms are often the surface expression of deeper imbalances that have been developing for months or even years. Healing isn't always about suppressing symptoms; it's about restoring balance at the root. In Chinese Medicine, the Liver plays a central role in the smooth flow of energy, blood, emotions, digestion, and detoxification. When the Liver becomes burdened, we may experience fatigue, skin concerns, hormonal shifts, digestive issues, disrupted sleep, or feelings of frustration and being "stuck." As herbs begin supporting the body's natural healing processes, it's common to notice shifts along the way. Energy may fluctuate, digestion may change, emotions may surface, and the body may begin releasing what it no longer needs. These changes can sometimes feel uncomfortable, but they often reflect the body's efforts to restore balance. Summer is the season of the Fire Element, a time of expansion, connection, joy, and vitality. Nature invites us to slow down, spend time outdoors, nourish ourselves well, connect with others, and create space for both movement and rest. Healing happens layer by layer, season by season. Trust the process, celebrate the small shifts, and remember that sometimes the deepest healing comes from supporting the body rather than forcing it. ☀️ What are you ready to release this summer, and what are you ready to make room for? ☀️

🌱 Monday Reflection: Healing Is Often a Process of Clearing Before Rebuilding
One of the most common questions we receive is: "Why is this taking so long?" It's understandable. When you're investing time, energy, and resources into your health, you want to see progress. But in Chinese medicine, healing is rarely about simply suppressing symptoms. Instead, we are often working to restore balance, improve circulation, clear stagnation, support organ function, and create the conditions for the body to heal itself. Think of it like restoring a neglected garden. Before new growth can flourish, weeds need to be cleared, soil needs to be nourished, and roots need time to strengthen. Some changes happen quickly, while deeper healing often requires patience. What is stagnation? In Chinese medicine, stagnation can show up in many ways: - Symptoms that come and go - Feeling stuck in your progress - Chronic inflammation - Digestive issues - Skin conditions - Hormonal imbalances - Fatigue - Emotional stress that feels difficult to move through When the body begins to heal, it often needs time to clear what has accumulated before lasting improvements occur. Common things that get in the way of healing ✨ Looking for daily changes instead of monthly trends ✨ Constantly changing protocols before giving them time to work ✨ Comparing your journey to someone else's ✨ Inconsistent use of herbs or supplements ✨ Chronic stress and nervous system overload ✨ Poor sleep ✨ Perfectionism ("If I can't do it perfectly, why bother?") ✨ Losing sight of how far you've already come What helps people succeed? The clients who tend to experience the most meaningful transformations are not always the ones who heal the fastest. They are often the ones who: ✔ Stay curious instead of fearful ✔ Focus on consistency over perfection ✔ Follow recommendations even when progress feels slow ✔ Celebrate small wins ✔ Trust the process ✔ Continue showing up for themselves Healing is not always linear. There will be periods of progress, plateaus, and sometimes setbacks. That doesn't mean you're failing. It simply means you're human.
