๐ŸŒฑ Monday Reflection: Healing Is Often a Process of Clearing Before Rebuilding
One of the most common questions we receive is:
"Why is this taking so long?"
It's understandable. When you're investing time, energy, and resources into your health, you want to see progress.
But in Chinese medicine, healing is rarely about simply suppressing symptoms. Instead, we are often working to restore balance, improve circulation, clear stagnation, support organ function, and create the conditions for the body to heal itself.
Think of it like restoring a neglected garden.
Before new growth can flourish, weeds need to be cleared, soil needs to be nourished, and roots need time to strengthen. Some changes happen quickly, while deeper healing often requires patience.
What is stagnation?
In Chinese medicine, stagnation can show up in many ways:
  • Symptoms that come and go
  • Feeling stuck in your progress
  • Chronic inflammation
  • Digestive issues
  • Skin conditions
  • Hormonal imbalances
  • Fatigue
  • Emotional stress that feels difficult to move through
When the body begins to heal, it often needs time to clear what has accumulated before lasting improvements occur.
Common things that get in the way of healing
โœจ Looking for daily changes instead of monthly trends
โœจ Constantly changing protocols before giving them time to work
โœจ Comparing your journey to someone else's
โœจ Inconsistent use of herbs or supplements
โœจ Chronic stress and nervous system overload
โœจ Poor sleep
โœจ Perfectionism ("If I can't do it perfectly, why bother?")
โœจ Losing sight of how far you've already come
What helps people succeed?
The clients who tend to experience the most meaningful transformations are not always the ones who heal the fastest.
They are often the ones who:
โœ” Stay curious instead of fearful
โœ” Focus on consistency over perfection
โœ” Follow recommendations even when progress feels slow
โœ” Celebrate small wins
โœ” Trust the process
โœ” Continue showing up for themselves
Healing is not always linear.
There will be periods of progress, plateaus, and sometimes setbacks. That doesn't mean you're failing. It simply means you're human.
This week, instead of asking:
"Why am I not there yet?"
Try asking:
"How can I continue supporting my body today?"
Small actions repeated consistently create profound change over time.
