Working from the bottom
I’d love to see a month focused on surviving And working out of bottom side control or mount back to the feet.
Interested
For me as a beginner personally I would love too see a breakdown of footwork and how to move and make it a habit.🙏
Takedowns
Aspinall talked about the merab-takedown as a energy saving yet effective takedown (outside single leg, then pull the leg as you circle out). How do i know what takedown to aim for? When do i go for the knee-slide, or body-lock or outside single leg? I understand that timing is key, but if i am a noob, where should i focus?
Bre move🧐
saw this move on Reddit, Anyone know if it has a name? And what do you think about it in mma ?
Being able to defend the takedowns, while being defensive with your striking.
Hello, I have a question. I have boxing/wrestling background but I still have this problem that I sometimes get caught in a takedown while defending their striking, (maybe because I’m thinking about the striking too much, idk). How am I able to defend the takedowns while being defensive from the strikes? I saw that Umar had a tactic in his fight with Merab where he put his head down to be able to defend the shot but if Merab punched he took the shot on his forehead. Idk if this is a good tactic with the risk of getting hurt. So again the question comes back to how do I defend the takedowns while being defensive from the strikes. (Not talking about only sprawling but im asking for something deeper, like a concept or tactic to be able to defend takedowns and strikes at the same time).
