My personal suggestions for the cycle 3
1 : Respect the submission deadline without exceptions: People who haven't submitted a complete application by the deadline... too bad.
2: Progress tracking dashboard or visual support listing apps with a checkbox or similar indicator showing that an app has been reviewed and scored.
3: Review the MIT license which seems abusive: We ask participants to support and continue development without having certain rights over their creation. The rules should be: winners commit to releasing their app under MIT license. That way, losers retain some control — perhaps requiring them to place their app under AGPL-3.0 license.
4: At the end of the competition, release a ranking/list according to scores, while still being explicit about it (basically, be transparent).
There's nothing worse than losing in ignorance 😉
