I’m Tired… But I’m Grateful 🤍
Some days I wake up already tired.
Not just “I need a cup of tea” tired.
But soul tired.
Life tired.
The kind of tired that sits behind your eyes and in your chest.
And if I’m honest… today is one of those days.
But here’s what I’ve learned on this journey — through grief, growth, rebuilding, and becoming…
You can be tired and grateful at the same time.
They are not opposites.
They can live in the same heart.
Tired Doesn’t Mean You’re Failing
Being tired doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It doesn’t mean you’re not positive enough.
It doesn’t mean your mindset work isn’t working.
Sometimes it means:
• You’ve been strong for a long time.
• You’ve carried things quietly.
• You’ve shown up when it would’ve been easier to hide.
• You’ve kept going even when your heart felt heavy.
That’s not weakness.
That’s strength asking for a moment to breathe.
I’m Tired… But Look What I Still Have 🤍
Even on the heavy days, I look around and I see:
✨ My children — my reason, my heartbeat.
✨ My home — my safe place.
✨ My little furry family bringing comfort without words.
✨ The strength inside me that refuses to quit.
And yes… I still carry grief. I always will.
Losing Luke at just 19 changed me forever.
It broke me.
But it also built a different kind of strength in me.
Not loud strength.
Not “I’ve got it all together” strength.
But quiet, steady, keep-going strength.
Gratitude Isn’t Pretending
Being grateful doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect.
It means saying:
“This is hard… but there is still something good here.”
It’s choosing to notice the warmth of your tea in your hands.
The sound of your kids laughing.
The fact you got out of bed when you didn’t want to.
That counts.
You count.
If You’re Tired Too…
Let this be your permission:
🌿 Rest without guilt.
🌿 Cry without shame.
🌿 Slow down without explaining yourself.
And then, when you’re ready…
Look for one small thing you’re grateful for.
Not to fix everything.
Just to soften the edges.
I’m tired.
But I’m grateful I’m still here.
Still trying.
Still loving.
Still growing.
And if you’re reading this — so are you 🤍
With love,
Jo
