Some guidelines for the group
Hey wonderful hustlers! I am so happy we are all here to support each other. I know many of us have our own businesses and this group is to help support your mental and physical health on the way to reach your goals. 💪😀 In the interest of keeping that the main focus, one of the rules for this group is no self promotion. I think the link to the rules for the group isn't quite visible and I'll take better steps to ensure it. My apologies for that! If you want to share about what you do in relevance to what someone shares, that's great. However, the feed shouldn't end up a list of advertisements. 150 is the magic number. Fact: Adults who get 150–300 min/week of moderate cardio + 2+ days of strength see big gains in health, energy, sleep, and mood. (PubMed, www.heart.org) Try 5×30-min walks + 2 lift days this week. And if this is too much, break it into even smaller increments that you know you can handle. Small steps, big wins. 🗓️💪

🧠 Your Brain: The Ultimate Time-Warping Comedy Machine Imagine your brain as a slightly neurotic time management consultant who's had too much coffee. Every 90 minutes, it basically throws up its hands and says, "I'm DONE! No more productivity!" ⏱️🎢The 90-Minute Productivity Rollercoaster When you work beyond 90 minutes, your prefrontal cortex starts acting like a tired toddler: - Rational thinking? Nope. - Clear decisions? Not happening. - Stress hormones taking over? You betcha! 🏅Dopamine: The Brain's Sneaky Reward Dealer Your brain is basically a dopamine junkie that gives you a tiny celebration every time you complete a task. (Woo!) But here's the twist: scrolling Instagram for 20 minutes gives you the same reward hit as finishing a work project... BUT you didn’t get anything done! Now you have to still do the thing you were procrastinating on with a tinge of guilt. (Skip the scroll people!) Neuroscience: Where comedy meets complexity! Pro tip: Every 60 to 90 minutes of focus, set a timer and take a mental break. Do some breathing exercises, get up from the desk and stretch or simply stroll for 2 minutes. You'll come back to your tasks more refreshed mentally, physically and emotionally! Sitting is still a health risk!
Just got this article from UCLA that said we sit more than ever in history and it's affecting our overall health. Even our mind, the article states "Mental health takes a hit as well. A sedentary lifestyle is associated with an increased risk of anxiety, depression and changes to cognition. Small wonder that the prolonged inactivity that marks modern life has come to be referred to as “sitting disease.” They share some interesting ideas that companies have used to ensure more movement in offices and different studies too.
