That Weird a$$ Moment When Gratitude + “Am I Slipping?” Collide
I had a very real “WTF, Mimi?” moment today.
Caught myself grumbling about something I have absolutely no business grumbling about.
You know those moments where your brain goes rogue, starts spiralling, and then you zoom out like
“Hang on ffs… what are we actually doing here?”
It started after a mastermind call last night.
Everyone’s stuff is looking so fucking good — like proud-mama-bear, goosebumps, holy-shit-you’re-on-fire good.
We shared what we’ve been working on, and I said it out loud
“I’m knee-deep in client work right now.”
Then… later… that pesky little whisper slid in
“You’re doing more work on other people’s businesses than your own…”
And ooooof — the FOMO flickered.
Not jealousy.
Not comparison.
Just that tiny inner ache that says:
“I miss pouring into my own world like that.”
But the sane, grounded, no-bullshit part of me didn’t hesitate
“Shut the fuck up, Mimi. You should be grateful AF.”
Because the only reason I’m this deep in client work…
the only reason I’m inside other people’s worlds…
the only reason I’m holding their visions, crafting their messaging, guiding their moves…
is because my business is working.
People trust me with their stories.
People want me in their strategy.
People hand me the keys to their inner world because they know I’ll help them rise.
That’s not something to complain about.
That’s something to honour duh…
So here’s the messy, human truth of this season
Yes — my clients are flying.
Yes — my own stuff has taken a back seat for a minute.
Yes — both can be true without either being wrong.
If you’ve ever held big vision + big responsibility, you get it.
It’s that strange emotional cocktail of:
“I’m grateful as hell”
and “I want to stretch again.”
But here’s the thing I had to remind myself of
Being in demand is a blessing. Being trusted is a blessing. Being paid to help people transform is a blessing.
And when you’re in a season like that?
Your own growth often looks quieter.
Slower. More internal.
But growth is still happening. It’s always happening.
Sometimes you build your business by building other people’s. Sometimes you remember your power by helping someone else rise. Sometimes your next evolution is hidden inside their breakthrough.
And that’s where I’m at right now
Grateful AF.
Stretched AF.
Busy AF.
Human AF.
Still building — even if the building looks different right now.
And if you’ve ever felt that messy mix of pride + panic…that “I’m doing so much / am I doing enough?” energy…
Just know you’re not alone. And it probs means you’re growing more than you realise.
